Grounded

It’s been cold, wet, and foggy for the last three days in Sanikiluaq. The fog and poor visibility have grounded all flights into the community. Walking around after work this evening, I was pleased to note that the nasty weather has at least driven the mosquitoes away.

Back from vacation, back to reality, and back to work, which means back to the north for me. I left Ottawa last week when it was 35 degrees and sunny, and flew to the Arctic where it is, er, not exactly 35 degrees. We arrived home last evening after an uneventful flight from Paris. As much as I enjoy travelling and all the new experiences and knowledge that it brings me, I am always happy to return home.
