The weather and mosquitoes have posed a problem for me over the last couple of weeks in terms of getting out for walks and pictures. On sunny days, mosquitoes the size of bees attack, making it very unpleasant to walk around. On overcast days like last Saturday, it’s difficult to predict when the weather will change, making it challenging to take pictures. I could see patches of blue sky Saturday morning, so I thought it would be safe to go out for a stroll.
About five minutes after I snapped these photos, the skies opened up and the rain came pouring down in sheets. I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag and hurried home. By the time I got back, I was completely drenched; it didn’t help that the strong wind blew the rain around, ensuring that I was soaked through.
