Short, pre-Christmas trip to the Pacific Northwest (American side) over the last few days. First stop was Portland, Oregon, mainly because D was going to see the Dandy Warhols in concert.

To eat: Ken’s Artisan Pizza
Voodoo Doughnut (we didn’t actually eat here, but every time we passed the tiny shop, there was a significant line-up).

To drink: Stumptown Coffee Roasters. As a sworn tea-drinker, I don’t even like coffee or the heartburn it always gives me. However….Stumptown’s coffee is somehow non-bitter, and non-acidic, yet full of complex flavours. The branch we patronized featured a signed copy of Lionel Ritchie’s 1983 LP, All Night Long. Bonus points.

To shop: Portland Saturday Market, which is also open on Sundays (because Sunday is the new Saturday?)
