Paris 2016

Here I am, breaking my own rules about writing as I go, because that way, my memories won’t lie to me. It’s safe to say that now I might be fictionalizing some of this post, but oh well.

We left Rome on November 15th and headed for Paris for 10 days or so. The city seemed to us to be a bit quieter than we have seen it in past Novembers. It’s hard to discern the reasons for this when you don’t live there, but we could probably guess.

Nevertheless, Paris is as beautiful as ever. We visited some old haunts, but also tried out a few new places: La Buvette, Juveniles, and Ellsworth. We walked and walked, lit candles at different cathedrals, attended Sunday mass at Notre Dame des Victoires, visited our favourite paintings at the Louvre, and people-watched while enjoying aperitifs at different cafes.

A la prochaine, Paris. See you next time.
